JOB SUMMARY

Perform reconciliation of various General Ledger and INB DDA accounts.  Monitor differences and notify those responsible to clear any outstanding items.  Perform other duties to assist other areas of Accounting.  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The duties listed below may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties as assigned.

• Reviews financial statements to ensure they are in balance
• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
• Prepares and submits FR 2900 report 
• Reconcile accounts as assigned by supervisor. 
• Posts accounting journal entries as needed.
• Assists in compilation of information for internal/external audits.
• Cross train as assigned to complete other duties as back up.
• Scan and maintain records for retention. 
• Research outstanding items on reconciliations.
• Notify the person or department responsible for outstanding items and follow up until they are cleared.
• Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

• Have completed basic Accounting courses or have related job experience. 
• Ability to work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. 
• Ability to use a 10 key by touch.
• Ability to work independently and by organized.  
• Ability to communicate errors and differences with other bank employees or auditors.
• Ability to work with a large volume of figures and amounts.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Bilingual skills a plus (English and Spanish).
• Acute attention to detail.
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
• Ability to work with a large volume of figures and amounts.
